Do I need an account or KYC?

Accepted Answer

No account required for swaps. No routine KYC. Every swap is screened against sanctions and on-chain risk lists in the background — the vast majority clear in seconds with no friction. Identity verification is only requested in exceptional cases (sanctions-list match, risk-list hit, or where the source of funds cannot be verified). An optional account gives you order history, an address book, and API access.

How do I make my first swap?

Type any swap intent into the composer on the homepage — for example, "swap 0.3 BNB to USDT on BSC" or "what's the cheapest path from ETH to USDC". The AI parses it, proposes a route, and walks you through deposit and payout. The whole flow is one conversation.

Do I have to phrase my swap in a specific way?

Accepted Answer

No. The AI handles natural phrasing, typos, partial specs, comparison questions, and recovery scenarios. If a detail is missing — like the network — it asks one clarifying question instead of erroring out.

How does Cambio price a swap?

Accepted Answer

0.38 percent, inside the rate quoted to you, on swaps Cambio fills itself — plus the network withdrawal fee declared on the quote. On a swap filled by another exchange on the panel, that exchange's own price applies; the exchange pays Cambio — a share of its own fee, or a small partner fee already inside its quoted rate — and nothing is added after the quote. No platform fees, no gas markups, no membership tiers.

Is the price comparison real-time?

Yes. Quotes are fetched from the Bestchange aggregator API every 30 seconds. We never cherry-pick — the comparison shows the latest snapshot whether we're winning or not. The "Best Rate by Cambio" pill only shows when our advantage clears 10 basis points.

Does Cambio offer fixed-rate or float-rate swaps?

Accepted Answer

Cambio quotes one rate. There is no fixed/float toggle, and there are no plans to add one. The pricing engine already absorbs typical deposit-confirm drift through a chain-aware spread floor — slower-confirming chains get a wider risk budget (about 0.6% on Bitcoin, 0.39% on Ethereum, and 0.3% on fast chains like Solana, BSC, Tron, and Arbitrum). You see one number and the engine handles the time-window risk in the background. You will never receive less than the live competitor floor plus our beat-best margin; if the market ever moves more than the spread can absorb, the live competitor strip on the quote will reflect it before you confirm.

How does liquidity pricing actually work?

Execution partners maintain liquidity on every supported chain. When you deposit BNB on BSC, the destination-side payout comes from partner liquidity via API — no bridge, and Cambio itself never holds your funds. Partner liquidity rebalances asynchronously after each swap settles.

Is Cambio custodial? Do you hold my funds?

Non-custodial. We never hold your funds before the swap. Funds-in-transit time is measured in seconds — from your deposit to your payout. No accounts, no balances we can lose with.

Can the AI access my wallet?

Accepted Answer

No. The AI cannot access your wallet, private keys, or any funds. It operates within the Cambio interface — parsing intent, comparing rates, preparing orders. Every deposit transaction requires you to manually send from your wallet. We never request signature access.

How is cross-chain settled without a bridge?

Accepted Answer

Cross-chain pairs settle from partner liquidity on both ends. When you swap BNB on BSC to USDC on Solana, your BNB goes to the execution partner on BSC and the partner pays you USDC on Solana. There is no bridge contract on the Cambio side, no Wormhole-style cross-chain message, no bridge-hack exposure.

How fast is a swap?

Accepted Answer

Under 30 seconds same-chain. 30 to 60 seconds cross-chain. Your payout is released the moment your deposit confirms — no bridge finality wait, no clearing window.

What if I send the wrong network or amount?

Accepted Answer

If you send less than the minimum, Cambio detects the underpayment and offers a top-up at the locked rate or a refund to your sender wallet. If you send to the wrong network entirely (e.g., USDT on Tron when the deposit address was BEP20), recovery depends on the chain — contact support immediately with the transaction ID.

Can I cancel an order after sending the deposit?

Once your deposit lands on-chain and we detect it, the corresponding payout has already begun. Cancellation isn't guaranteed after that point. Before deposit, the order can be abandoned with no consequence — quotes time out automatically.

Create a free account, then navigate to Account → API Settings to generate an API key. Full reference docs are at /api. The API exposes the same swap, quote, and route-explorer endpoints the AI front-end uses.

Yes for swap, quote, and recovery endpoints. Rate-limited per API key (default: 60 requests per minute). Higher tiers available on request — email support if you need elevated limits for a production integration.

Where do I see my swap history?

Accepted Answer

Optional account required for swap history. Once logged in, every swap you make is tied to your account — searchable by date, pair, status, or amount. Without an account, you can still look up a specific swap by its order ID at /track.
