Two different assets, two different on-chain stories. Here’s the minimum you should know before you send anything.
ETH on Arbitrum is the same Ether you would hold on Ethereum mainnet, but living on the Arbitrum L2 rollup. It is used to pay gas on Arbitrum transactions (much cheaper than mainnet — typically a few cents per transaction) and is freely tradeable as an asset. When you send ETH to a Cambio deposit address on Arbitrum, it is a native L2 transfer, not a token contract call.
USDT on Arbitrum is the Tether USD-pegged stablecoin issued on the Arbitrum L2. Same dollar value as USDT on every other chain (ERC20 on Ethereum, BEP20 on BSC, TRC20 on Tron, SPL on Solana), but on Arbitrum the contract address and network are L2-specific. The contract is widely supported by exchanges and DeFi on Arbitrum.
